So what's a monster truck without monster power? Once again, Traxxas delivers with its perfect combination of twin Titan 550 motors and waterproof EVX-2 electronic speed control. These massive Titan motors feature longer armatures for maximum torque and a built-in internal fan to keep these giants cool when you're pushing them all out. The EVX-2 ESC is just loaded with options. It features thermal shutdown protection, Traxxas' patented high-current battery connectors, and 3 drive profiles, including a Training mode for beginners that reduces the overall output to the motor by 50% while new racers learn the basics of R/C driving. Then, once basic training is over, you can unlock all the power and performance the E-Maxx has to offer in the Sport and Race modes.
Now if fast isn't fast enough, the E-Maxx is brushless ready. The new transmission is specifically designed to handle more torque than ever before, and its extra-wide gears, steel components, and Revo®-Spec Torque-Control slipper clutch combine to handle what other monster trucks can't. Convert your E-Maxx to brushless, and speeds over 60mph are well within reach. Plus, the new Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) allows you to utilize all of the extreme power and acceleration that was engineered into the E-Maxx by making it easier to control on slippery surfaces, loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. Punch it off the line and TSM senses the vehicles direction and makes steering corrections to provide straight-ahead, full-throttle acceleration without spinouts, fish-tailing, and loss of control.
The Traxxas E-Maxx monster truck also features an extended wheelbase, lower center-of-gravity chassis for improved stability. To help with this, the motor now sits closer to the chassis and the batteries are positioned lower to give you the best handling possible. The E-Maxx also includes a dual servo steering system and Traxxas' most advanced radio system ever, the TQi telemetry-ready 2.4Ghz system for crystal-free performance. The TQi has a long list of features to get your E-Maxx dialed into your driving style and preferences.
