RC Hobby Explosion has been the official battery supplier of Nikko batteries since their American distribution center went out of business in 2008. Some of the original Nikko battery packs, such as the 7.2V NiCd plug-in version, have now sold out. Not to worry, though, as we have teamed with a top NiCd battery manufacturer to provide our Nikko battery customers an RC Hobby Explosion 7.2V battery that has comparable specs, size, voltage, run-time and shape as the original Nikko 7.2V plug-in battery (Nikko #1272). In fact, this battery has a nice advantage as it comes with slightly longer AWG wire leads. This replacement combo set includes the new 7.2V battery and a charger that charges the battery in about 4 hours.

    When the type of battery I requested was out of stock due to the current health crisis, they upgraded my order to a better version for free and shipped it ASAP. It arrived extremely quickly and worked better than we could have hoped. My brother is very happy to bring life back into an RC truck he had as a kid.

    Rediscovered an old Radio Shack Road Phantom I saved up to purchase as a teen. Decided to clean it up to give to a neighbors son. I couldn't find a battery after calling a local hobby shop. Luckily found the RCHE website. Got it up and running! Just waiting for an antenna tube to arrive. Thanks guys!

    A friend gave me a couple of Nikko RC Trucks and the batteries were shot. Ordered them from RC Hobby Explosion and they were here in two days! Fit was perfect, charged them up and we are back in business!
