Hobby People Quest 2.1M Sailplane

This is the Hobby People Quest 2.1M Ready-to-Fly Brushless-Powered High-Performance Electric Sailplane. The Quest is a thermal-seeking high-performance molded-foam sailplane for those who are ready for more! Developing the Quest meant keeping the advanced and beginner pilot in mind. From the fuselage with a bolt-on tail and landing wheel to the powerful 800Kv brushless motor for quick climb-outs, every detail was considered to enhance your flying experience. We scrutinized every element and material for a foam glider. The 2-piece wing utilizes a sleeker airfoil, allowing the Quest to glide from one end of the field to the other in search of a thermal or speed at the slope. The elegant design of the fuselage reminds you of a great looking sailplane with enough room to add your own accessories, such as FPV, LED lights and flaps, all without losing sight of the basics.

The first thing you notice after you install the wings is the large presence of the Quest. The Quest has a wingspan of over 6 and a half feet! That’s 527 square inches of wing surface for the Quest to easily float with the lightest of thermals or rising air at the slope - all while keeping the Quest flying weight down to 42 ounces. The included ESC will allow 35 amps of continuous current draw and 2-4 cell LiPo batteries. It's also programmable, allowing you to adjust Battery Type, Voltage Cut-Off, Acceleration, Timing and Brake (requires optional programming card, sold separately).

Sometimes the need for speed is necessary! The included 800kv brushless motor gets the Quest to altitude quickly! Combined with its large 12x8 folding propeller, it delivers the power you need and folds tight against the fuselage, eliminating power-off drag. The Quest includes efficient air ducts for cooling the motor, ESC and LiPo battery. A scale-like landing wheel is included to allow you to perform scale-like landings. And when you're ready, you can install the flap conversion kit (available separately), so you can add “crow” and other features to your flying experience.

This Ready-to-Fly version of the Quest includes a 4-channel transmitter for aileron, elevator, rudder and throttle control.
