Tyco 9.6V Ni-Cd Battery Pack Substitution

RC Hobby Explosion is now offering a line of replacement batteries for your favorite toy-grade R/C products. We have teamed with a top NiCd battery manufacturer to provide our customers an RC Hobby Explosion 9.6V battery that has the same specs, size, voltage, run-time and shape as the original Tyco Plug-In (not slot-in or cassette) 9.6V battery. In fact, this battery has a couple of nice advantages as it comes with slightly longer 22AWG wire leads and should give slightly longer run-times.

    I purchased this battery pack to replace the original one from the early 1990's that came with an RC hover craft I played with as a kid. Now that I have a 7 year old son, I thought it would be fun to resurrect the old hover craft for him to play with. My wife and I gave him the battery pack for Christmas after charging it and it fit perfectly into the hover craft and has worked for the past couple of days now like new. Hopefully I will be able to get many charges and uses from it for my son.
